Description

Syrian activists say security forces backed up by tanks took action early on Sunday against anti-government protesters in the towns of Rastan and Talbiseh, to the north of Homs city. Several people are injured.

Roads leading to both towns are said to have been blocked by security forces.

The town of Deir Maaleh is also said to have been encircled by tanks.

The road linking Homs to Hama is currently blocked.
